Exam Dates

As per the official notification released by IIT Guwahati, GATE ECE 2018 exams will be conducted on the following dates-

• Commencement of Online Registration - 01.Sep.2017
• Last Date for Online Registration - 09.Oct.2017
• Last Date for Request for Change in the Choice of Exam City - 17.Nov.2017
• Availability of Admit Card - 05.Jan.2018
• GATE Exams Dates – 03-04.Feb-18, 10-11.Feb-18

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to pursue GATE ECE 2018 Examination has to fulfil the basic eligibility criteria:

Application Form

Online registration for GATE 2018 Exam has been started from 01^stSeptember 2017. Interested & eligible candidates can directly apply through GATE 2018 Online Form.

Admit Card

Admit Cards can be downloaded from 5^th January 2018 from the official website. We will update it once the downloading of admit cards start.

Syllabus

Understanding detailed syllabus of the exam is essential for its preparation. For instance, unless you have a clear picture of the topics that would be asked in the exam, you won’t be able to prepare for it efficiently. You can go through the detailed GATE 2018 syllabus here.

Previous Year Question Paper/Model Paper

The smart way to prepare for GATE ECE is to solve the GATE ECE previous year question paper. This will not help you prepare for the GATE ECE 2018 but is also a sure-shot way to ace the examination.

Exam Pattern

The Examination will be conducted in an online mode held for 23 papers where the candidate has to opt only for 1 paper which will carry a total of 100 marks with a total exam duration of 3 hours. For more details, you can go through the GATE 2018 Exam Pattern here.

Cut Off

The cut off marks will be announced differently by each participating Institute for JEE 2018 and it will also be distinct for different fields. Candidates can check the GATE Previous year cut off marks to have an estimate of marks to be scored in GATE 2018 Exam.
